Savannah is a truly amazing part of America, with a rich history and loads to do whether you’re into living the high life or just exploring history and architecture. Savannah is a great place for taking a holiday, and whilst the pace of life is a little slower than some of America’s biggest cities, the climate and friendly nature of the people make it an amazing place to spend your time.

Savannah Ghost tours. These are amazing for families as well as horror enthusiasts, and are designed to be family friendly ghost tours suitable for children as well. The history of the city helps add to the creepy atmosphere and this can provide a great thing to do of an evening. The walking tours and shows are truly amazing and interactive and the company providing them give a great experience which is almost theatrical in nature.
Cathedral of St John the Baptist. This is a very famous cathedral and as well as its impressive scale, the architecture is truly something to write home about. Even if you do not opt to spend long there or go for a tour, just spending a few minutes taking pictures and experiencing the beauty of the building, rebuilt in the 1900s, is worth spending a little time doing.
The Chippewa Square Bus Stop. I know what you’re thinking, why would I want to visit a bus stop? As well as being at the heart of Chippewa square, one of many impressive parks and recreational areas within the city, this is an iconic place due to being the location for the famous bench scenes throughout Forrest Gump, one of the most iconic scenes in one of the most iconic movies of all time. Have your picture taken at the very home of ‘life is like a box of chocolates’.
The Rest of the Squares. There are 22 amazing squares to visit in total, a great chance to sit back and relax, take photos or even enjoy a picnic or a drink in the sunshine.
Take a Pedicab. There are quite a lot of Pedicabs in Savannah and they give you a chance to soak up the beauty (and probably sunshine) in style, sit back, relax and let the driver take you to your destination!
